NOW HIRING Kitchen Utility Supervisor

Responsibilities include:

  • Must take direction from Chefs/ Stewarding Manager
  • Follow up with management on the next assign task
  • Must take direction well and be very flexible and easy adaptable
  • Must have knowledge/experience in all phases of the day to day operation of the kitchens
  • Oversee Sanitation of kitchen floors, storeroom, dumpster and wash trash cans and glutens before bring to the kitchen areas
  • Must be able to place orders with chefs for chemicals and cleaning supplies within budget
  • Oversee BOH Utility personnel, and Maintain equipment
  • ensure Operate dish machines/ proper chemicals
  • Clean stoves, ovens, and flat grills / proper chemicals
  •  Must be knowledge of and complete cleaning schedule / daily sanitation self-inspection
  • Clean walk in coolers sweep and mop floors and scrub walls
  • Set up 3 or 4 compartment sinks( wash, rinse, sanitizer 146 oasis )
  • Knowledge how to use the Quat sanitizer tester
  • Responsible for utility schedule, in times, overtime, etc to maintain forecast/budget
  • (Hands sink) must have signage, small trash can, soap in the dispose and paper towels
  • Must  be willing to work a variety of days/nights and weekend shifts
  • Must be able to read, write and speak English.
  • Bring to the kitchen daily Compostable Cans/ recycled containers
  • Must maintain the Sanitation of the Compost areas
  • Chef, equipment pull sheets for kitchens
  • Cleaning of hot boxes and speed racks
  • Must be able to work independently
  • Excellent people skills
  • Must meet grooming standards
  • Meet/exceed customer expectations.

High school diploma or GED equivalent; or three to six month’s related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

 

LANGUAGE SKILLS

Ability to read, analyzes, and interprets general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.  Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.  Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.

 

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS

Ability to add, subtracts, multiply, and divides in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.  Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and draw and interpret bar graphs.
